SUMMER DRESSING DONE RIGHT WITH HOUSE OF KILTI

April 30, 2018

Hey everyone!

How are you all doing? I hope your week has been off to a great start!

I've been down and about with a couple of projects over the week. It has been so much fun curating content for you guys. I can't wait to show you the pictures of this particular blogpost!

Recently, I had an opportunity to collaborate with House Of Kilti, an Ahemdabad based clothing label which speaks volumes through its eclectic and unique designs.

Derived from the Haitian word, Kilti means culture. A culture that brings forth comfort and style, a statement in itself. The focal point of the brand doesn't dwell on trends nor something too ordinary. Bringing in elegance, color blocking, ruffles, layers and a sublime take on asymmetry, HOK is all about standing out through carefully threaded pieces.

I ended up picking the pink gown 'cause ofcourse (you guys know) my evergreen love for maxi dresses is undeniable. What was most striking about the dress was its back detailing. I instantly fell in love with the dual toned straps arranged in a criss cross pattern. Minimal, comfortable and elegant.

Summers call for lightweight, fluid and breezy dresses. And that's exactly what this dress is.

When it comes to styling summer dresses, I like to keep it minimal and let the outfit do all the talking. With this one of a kind dress, I went ahead and paired it with leopard pumps for a pop and barely accessorized it with a pair of long gold drop earrings. You can easily pull this dress off at a dinner, formal event or date night!
For a night time look, you could add more accessories or bling- a fancy cuff bracelet and rhinestone studded heels. Glam with a hint of sexy - can never go wrong.

I would love to know your thoughts on the look. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
