Four Steps To A Soft Brown Smokey Eye Makeup

December 29, 2016

Which is that one look you can stick to regardless of the occasion? The very versatile smokey eye makeup!

When nothing works out, all you need is a little splash of brown and gold.

I have created a soft brown smokey eye makeup look, which is one of my favorite go-to look for any event. Even though it may not seem as striking, but it really does give a lot of depth and definition to your eyes.

Here's a step by step tutorial of the entire look. 😊

Tools used:

1. Modern Renaissance palette (Anastasia Beverly Hills)
2. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner
3. Sephora Outrageous Volume- Dramatic Volume Mascara

Step One: Prime your lids and then highlight your brow
Apply a light concealer under the eye area to hide any redness or dark circles as well as a primer on the eyelid so that the product stays put and provides a smooth base for the eyeshadow. I have used the MAC prep and prime 24 hour extend eyebase. And this product works amazinnggg!😍 It'll keep your eyeshadow looking on point all day and night without any creasing or fallout.

Start off by applying Tempera on the brow bone with a flat eyeshadow brush. Tempera will highlight and add more lift to your eyes.

Step Two: Start with the lightest shade
Right underneath (above the crease), apply Raw Sienna which will be the medium shade. Blend it in properly! The key to a perfect eyeshadow is to blend, blend and blend.  Dust in Burnt orange on the crease and blend it with a fluffy brush.

Step Three : Work your way to dark shades
Now to deepen the eye, apply abundant Antique Bronze on the crease. Antique bronze is a muted brown with red undertones and a frosted sheen. Make sure you blend the eyeshadow with the brush pointing downwards. Or else you'll end up with a patch of dark eyeshadow.

Yo can also line your upper lash line with a Kohl pencil and smudge it for an even more smokier look.

Step Four: Wing it!

To complete the look and for the extra oomph factor, tightline your upper lash line with a liquid eyeliner (or gel) - whatever you're comfortable with. My current favorite liquid eyeliner is Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner. I have done a review of it , in this video. Hands down, it's one of the best eyeliners I've ever used; which gives precise and clean strokes.  Don't forget to slay the look with a dash of mascara.

I hope you guys liked the look. And if you do try it, don't forget to share the pictures with me. You can also subscribe to my youtube channel to get updates for more makeup tutorials. 💕
